Researching Unclaimed Assets & Recovering Rightfully Owned Funds.
AN OVERVIEW OF THE RESEARCH AND RECOVERY PROCESS
Our process generally involves:
1. Locating Potential Funds
We research government and public records to identify foreclosure sales, tax sales, court-held funds and other potentially recoverable unclaimed assets.
2. Identifying Potential Claimants
We conduct additional research to determine who may have a potential legal interest in the funds. Not every person associated with the property is automatically entitled to the funds. Entitlement depends on applicable state law, the circumstances of the sale, liens, other claims, court orders and the potential claimant's legal interest.
3. Verifying the Opportunity
We examine court docket transactions and available records to determine whether excess funds appear to exist and whether the individual or entity appears to have a potential claim.
4. Contacting Potential Claimants
We use skip-tracing tools to track down the potential rightful owners' contact information. We understand that being contacted about an unexpected financial claim can raise questions and cause suspicions. We demonstrate the credibility of the claim by providing documented court records and state statutes to support the legitimacy and transparency of the claim.
5. Assisting With the Recovery Process
We work for the potential claimant by using licensed attorneys to pursue, prepare and file the appropriate claim according to statutory and established court guidelines. We make the retrieval process more efficient by combining early verification of funds, streamlined documentation, targeted legal navigation, and proactive follow-up to reduce delays and missed deadlines.
